Hello! I am trying to find solutions for internet that are not long-term monthly subscriptions. May not be possible I suppose, but almost everywhere we camp has at least our cellular available which is fine. A few places we camp have nothing at all and both my husband and I need to be accessible for work at least by phone. Are there options for wifi access that offer stop/start short periods of coverage?

Hey, maybe check out HomeFi. I live in a rural area and work from home-- l've been able to get reliable internet from them. I've also been able to take the device with me while traveling. It's month-to-month, so no long-term plans. Hope this helps.

Many rv parks have Jabba. They are horrible- do not use them!

Google Rent Starlink. There are companies that rent the equipment and service for short time use.

Starlink allows you to pick up service by the month. Not the cheapest option but as long as it's got a good view of the sky it works.
I doubt anyone is going to let you turn it on for the weekend.

I THINK that Winegard may offer a monthly option for their wifi options?????
