My 6 month old ZTE screen shuts of after I dial a number. Wont come back until the other end hangs up or if I hit the power button then it hangs up. Cant press 1 for English!!!
Tracfone has a BYOP program for iPhone 4. I purchase one on ebay for less than $70, looks like new and works.
Here is what I went through to activate it.
Tried the web site but going through the process did not work because it took you straight to air cards to buy which I did not use.
Googled Tracfone for BYOP. About the third option down was a BYOB site which was much different that from the original Trac site. Bought the access card for $10. Put in my MEID number on both phones and what ever data they wanted. Clicked enter, took me to a page that said the sorry could not complete transaction call CS. Trouble is my ZTE phone was deactivated! Could not call! Thought I lost my 50 year old phone number because they can only transfer active numbers! Not happy. Drove 6 mile round trip to where my wife was to get her phone.
Went home and called CS. First person said it showed my iPhone was working, I said all I got was three beebs. Gave me a *xxxxx number to enter into iPhone. Worked! But could call out but incoming calls would not ring and go to straight to call answering service. Gave me a Iphone special CS. Gave me a #xx number to enter. Worked!
All works except my Tracphone message saying I have the correct phone minutes left but says I have over a million texts left and hardly any data, which I hardly use. The web site is correct.
Pretty happy as it really didnt take long to correct and the iPhone is TONS better than the ZTE and easier to navagate.
Oh, got to get my wife one now and do the whole process again! Hope it works right off the web site to activate it.
