Wingard Video Distribution Center

I have a Wingard Video Distribution Center model VS53DVD/VS5312D. It is wired direct with a 12V. However, when I try to power up the system, it does not come on. I checked the 12V hookup behind the system and it is inserted correctly. I followed the wire back as far as I could and all seemed to be ok. Please let me know if you have experienced this type of issue and possible "fix". Thanks! Frank

Yes, theres a fuse inside. Its tough to open so do it on a clean bench
fuse is just inside where the plug is located.

Do you mean when you push the power button on the front the light does not come on? As mentioned above, the power needs to be on to watch OTA TV but the power button does nothing else to any other signal or button.
There should be a dedicated 7.5 DC amp fuse in the system so if you check the plug in the back of the controller and there is no power I would go look for the fuse. It's likely labeled TV antenna or TV boost or similar.

Here is manual. Look at troubleshooting area. Most have been covered by posters. One thing that could be a problem is a bad coaxial cable or bad antenna head.

The 12v is only used to power the Batwing antenna amplifier. Is that what's not operating correctly? Input source switching is a totally separate function of this device and should still function without 12V power.

next step would be to get a multimeter and confirm that the power wire going into the distribution center is actually supplying power - by checking it for 12V DC.
