If you are currently a DirecTV customer then the Winegard Trav'ler is either an SK-3005 or a newer SK-SWM3. The Winegard Trav'ler built for Dish Network is the SK-1000. If you are changing from DirecTV to Dish Network service the answers above about needing new hardware and someone to install it is accurate.
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?

It is Winegard. Contact Winegard next week and give them your current dish info and ask how much to convert.

Yup some new parts on the roof .. about 300-400 bucks ??
Different satellite spacing requires a different setup .. be thankful a dish "traveler" can't be converted to directv .. requires a whole new $1400. 00 assembly
You can't change freely between dish and direct .. not with the winegard Traveler

Changing a Trav'ler from DTV to DISH requires a physical conversion process, not just a setup change in the controller. Some more information is available here.
