Yahoo mail problems

I used to use Yahoo exclusively back in the day, but now mostly use various other email providers. Lately, Yahoo mail isn't working for me. When I try to access the website I get a message that it can't be found, or something to that effect. I've tried both Edge and Chrome browsers. It's the same on both. I've had similar problems in the past. Anyone else? You can be sure I'll be phasing Yahoo mail out.

OP here. Still having similar issues today with Yahoo. I know I have messages which I can't reach.I've checked and rechecked the URL, and it's all correct. Remember, I stated that I have the same problem using Chrome browser, so Edge isn't at fault.

I'm getting a little annoyed with my Gmail accounts, too. I keep getting a message that my device isn't recognized (although I use it daily to check Gmail), and I need to have them send me a verification code on my phone in order to log in. Seems like 2 factor identification, but I never used that before with Gmail.


My least problematic email providers are GMX and Hotmail. If Yahoo problems persist, or Gmail begins to get too problematic, I'll no doubt be switching to GMX as my primary account.

Maybe it's got something to do with Yahoo being bought by AOL/Verizon and changing the email over to conform to their Oath systems? They also changed their privacy policy back in April.

I’ve used Yahoo for years, but lately, I have spoke to people that never received my email, even though they had in the past. I am slowly migrating to Gmail.

Had that problem last night. Look at your address bar. IT had changed. Someone had hacked something (likely a DNS.. That's a Domain Name Server) and changed it so it pointed to their site instead of mail.yahoo.com. Was fixed this AM.

Yahoo has good folks fixing that kind of thign.

No problems here - It appears you have a browser or hardware issue - works fine from my three devices

Didn't work yesterday; works fine today.

Check yahoo mail several times a day on all my devices at work and home with no issues, my android tablets and cells work fine with yahoo as well. One thing that irritates me is they are always asking me to change to their new layout or format, I always decline and stay with classic yahoo mail. Sorry to hear about your frustrations, I would look else where if I had to constantly deal with these issues.

I used yahoo exclusively for my personal e-mail and do not recall any problems recently and very few over the years.

...the only bothersome thing is when they roll out a new format and I need to manually revert back to "classic: view.

Occasionally have the same type problems. Mainly because someone is trying to make it cuter than any of the others, and usually they don't have any idea what they are doing.
