We would like to take I95 south from Coeur d Alene to Walla Walla. Which route would be the best for a beginner in a 32ft Motorhome.
Thanks,
Carla

Thank you everyone for your information. We have decided to take Muddydogs advice, which is the same way we came up.
Have a few more trips under our belt we will take 95.

None of the Palouse country is bad for RV travel though this time of year you might run into farm equipment along the roads as they should be in full harvest mode. Only thing to watch out for on 95 is chip truck hauling paper pulp to the mill in Lewiston. Fastest, widest and lowest grade route would be down the interstate to 395 then hook 12 back to Walla Walla.
2015 Eclipse Iconic Toy Hauler made by Eclipse Manufacturing which is a pile of junk. If you want to know more just ask and I'll tell you about cracked frames, loose tin, walls falling off, bad holding tanks and very poor customer service.

If you got from Boise to C D Alene then mountain driving is not an issue, right?

Hwy 95 south from CD Alene is a much improved drive with many newer sections in the last 2-3 years. Hwy 195 is in WA state south from Spokane and will also lead to Lewiston,Id.

Lewiston grade is a thrill with 6-7 miles of 3-7% grade but mostly 4 lane and really no big deal, just follow the speed limits and take it easy on the brakes. Spectacular view. Pick up Hwy 12 in Lewiston/Clarkston head west to Walla Walla. Nice drive, done it several times.

In August we went from Coeur d'Alene, ID to Moscow, Id to Walla Walla and took 195 from I-90 down to Pullman and then east to Moscow, avoiding 95 as it looked narrow. From Moscow we did take 95 down to Lewiston and while it was 4 lane most of the way, I don't like heights and all of a sudden I'm looking down into oblivion. My heart was in my throat the whole way down. From Lewiston to Walla Walla was beautiful and a great drive. SO saying that, Id take 395 from I90 if I ever had to do it again. LOL
