Do they cut hose end off at dump station on purpose?

Well, I'm buggered off..... only once since I installed my Tornado rinsing system into the black tank, have I found a hose at the dump station with threads. Every other time, the hose end has been cut. I'm assuming to prevent really rude people from taking way too long to try and clean every particle out of their tanks.

I have a Water Thief connected to the Tornado and try to jam it onto the hose, but the back pressure blows it off every time. I try and hold it with my hands, but usually end up getting drenched as the pressure is just too much. I've tried crimping the hose and throttling the pressure, but that has had limited success.

Am I missing something? I really want to use the system, as that one time (and a choice few when I could "hold" the Water Thief on), it really pushed a lot more out of the tanks.

Appreciate your help......

**NOTE: I am NOT going to haul buckets of water in and out of the trailer at the dump station. I really need a "connection" option to work.

As I have said before in response to other questions about why a campground does this or that:

There are MANY design features built into campgrounds that are meant to influence how people use them, without having to post signs everywhere that say don't do this or don't do that. Both public and private campgrounds have been at the business of managing campgrounds for 60-70 years or more and they've learned a thing or two.

While having no threads on the end of a rinse hose may have occurred because someone drove over it an flattened the thread, it may also have been removed to quicken the time through the dump station and lessen the waiting time for others in line.
Thank you for some common sense. Here is one actual other reason. In Montana, state law requires that a hose be available to rinse down the dump station pad. That water line MUST be labeled "Non Potable" and is actually required to be constructed so that it cannot be threaded onto a fresh water fill. That is why the hose is often short (won't reach the non-pressure fill port) and why the end is cut off. Yet another reason is if the end is cut off, it is a less attractive item for a person to "inadvertently" add to their RV's inventory. When we were in the dump station business, we finally quit having fresh water fill hoses available because they developed "legs". If someone wanted to fill their tanks, they had to use their own hose. No one ever took off with the 6 foot long, end cut off, pad rinse hose.

Hey all this has been fun!! I actually got a few chuckles out of it,, Bu you can now all resume the bickering about nothing!! Life is real,, Now I gotta head off to the DMV and renew my license, yep, two written tests, a thumb print, another eye exam, a random check of my records (DL170 driving instructor) and a pee test!!
All so that I can teach some one to haul 75 (combination) feet of rig at 80,000 lbs.
But hey you all keep worrying about how long I take to unload!
Good day!!
Wonder how all his trucker students would feel about him telling RVers it would be OK to linger in the Truck island Fuel Lines taking their sweet, merry time shopping for some slim jims while the trucks backed up behind them? After all, that RVer is buying fuel, so he has the right to block that pump until he is good and ready to go.

Make an adapter that screws into your RV and has this at the other end... It can easily link onto a cut hose - and add less than a minute to a normal 5 minute tank rinse ;-)...

I think to help differentiate it from the potable supply.

If I was ever behind jake in line, I would politely ask him to be a little quicker.
If he still insisted on taking his time, I would put my truck in drive and politely help him out of the spot.....

Final notice from MasterCard. Good! I'm sick of hearing from them.

No Jack it isn't the whole country, and it sure as heck isn't Canadians. There is also a huge difference between being a self absorbed narcissist, who truly believes that the world rotates around them, and being a decent human being. Generally, pointing this out to a narcissist, is about as successful as trying to teach a pig to play the piano. When you believe that you are the chosen little snowflake who is above everyone, you simply can't fathom the fact that most see you as you truly are. It's always somebody else, how could it be possibly be you?

well you should have plenty of time spreading the message while "getting your money's worth" to all the people waiting for you to wake up and MOVE. As for RVillage, there's an additional 3 that might care.

Luckily, I can dump at home, where I do my thorough tank flushes.

It all evens out,, for the FIVE minutes extra I spend,, You can hurry up and vice versa, If I pulled up and there were that many people that it would be an hour and twenty minutes before I could dump,, First I would look over and apologize to the wife that I was to lazy to get up earlier and get there before the large crowd, second I would do some quick math in my head and determine where on earth i would be in an hour from now! If it worked out that hauling that stuff home would be better than getting stewed waiting in line and I would live longer (because we know stress is a killer) by not worrying about it I would probably blow off the dump and head home,, After all, allot of Camping World facilities have free dump stations and My storage place has free dumping. You ever use a pay toilet?? If your from the east coast you sure have! Do you hurry for the next guy?? My dad always reminded me, "never Push"!! Its my quarter I will get my moneys worth and get the job done right the first time!!

How about it. Talk about a great state, with a mind numbing percentage of self-centered idiots. They might be offended if their state's motto was changed to, "It's all about me", but thousands of locals from the Canadian border to Colorado, would all be nodding their heads in agreement.

What your all perceiving is that because YOU don't have one I take extra precious time away from you!
You see waiting is a part of life (currently waiting at DMV). Also,, where is that we who use a tank rinse are abusing the facilities?

Do some math, figure how many gallons are in your holding tanks, now figure the flow rate to empty, now give me a figure of quick you can hook up and unhook.
Some people take a little longer and thats ok!

But roughly ten minutes for me to do what I need and you all have a cow??

Who's the troll here??

Being a troll involves posting things you do not believe in, to elicit a response, for your own entertainment. Being a self-absorbed narcissist is another affliction, unrelated to trolling.

Well, as I stated, if there is a line behind me, I do the bare minimum, and move on, so others can as well.

But, hey, Im also the one who, if we have a large table at a restaurant, and there's a line of folks waiting to be seated, I don't sit around and BS for an hour "just because I can"... We eat, we have dessert (if desired), we pay our tab, we go on our way. That's just me though, because I always TRY to put myself in the other guys shoes. What would I hope the guy three spots ahead of me in the line at the dump station will do. Do I hope he takes his sweet ass time or do I hope he does what needs to be done and move on. Doesn't matter if Im in a hurry or not.
