How to remove stuck ice?

I think I know the answer to this but in case you guru's have a better idea than just letting it melt.......

Someone turned the fridge off thinking it was empty. The fridge was, but the freezer had a half empty bag of ice in there. Before I remembered and turned the freezer back on it had melted a little bit. Now the bag is stuck to the bottom of the freezer.

I've been carefully chipping out and using some of the ice with a dinner knife. Do I just need to turn the fridge off and let it melt or.....?

This is how DW defrost the big standup freezer at home. Works great, and in a fairly short time. In something as small as a RV freezer it will be very quick.
