Quick Connect Propane to Camp Stove

First of all, I am sorry in advance because I KNOW this has probably been discussed here so many times.

I have a Camp Chef Everest (High pressure) stove that I want to try to use with my quick connect port on the side of my RV. Is it even possible, and if so, could someone give me the simple, easy to follow steps to do it?

Also, another question is, we have dual propane tanks on the camper, I can always just disconnect one of them and run a hose with no regulator directly to the stove, correct?

Thanks everyone. We ended up going with the "T" for the tank that will go before the hookup to the campers gas, and an extension hose that will go 12 feet in any direction. Thanks so much for your advise everyone!!

I just did this to adapt my new grill to the port for the outside stove on my rig.

I bought a Camco 10ft extension hose from Amazon that had the quick disconnect fittings. I then removed the regulator and hose from the grill and then bought the needed coupler, and fittings from the hardware store to make it all plug together.

It took about a 1/2 hour rooting around in the bins of flared fittings to find the right pieces.

In the end I needed three fittings threaded together to go from the grill to the male coupler to connect to the Camco hose. Just make sure you get the yellow gas thread tape to make sure you dont have any leaks. I have heard that a gas leak could be bad. 🙂

I came across an 11# propane tank and had it re-certified. I use it on the grill and stove we have.
You MAY be able to plumb the stove w/o the regulator and have it work. Maybe yes, maybe no.

We have a valve attachment that allows high pressure connections from our two tanks. It came with the trailer so I know its out there. What I have found, is that we just travel with an extra tank for the grill. This way I can place it where I need it. We tried this out when we went for a week at Thanksgiving on the Washington State Coast. We felt it allowed us to only use propane for the heat, having not spent time in the trailer during cold months, plus then I could set up under the awning to stay out of the rain, where I wanted it, not right by the door, when connected to the tanks on the trailer. Just a suggestion.

My best guess is that the quick connect on your trailer is plumbed after the trailer regulator. Since your stove is a high pressure unit you will probably need to remove the stove regulator to use the quick connect. You could run a hose from a tank as you stated.
