Don't forget about Westend's post. LEDs are polarity sensitive. The center contact must be the +12v. Incandescent bulbs don't care which contact is positive or negative. As a result it is not uncommon to have some sockets miswired. Try one of your old 1141 incandescent bulbs in the socket. If it works, check the polarity if you can. If you can't, it might be worth it to reverse the wires.

The 1141 and 1156 bulbs both have a single contact. A similar bulb, 1157 I think, is made with 2 contacts. If you plug an 1141 bulb in the 2 contact socket you will usually blow the fuse.

My range hood uses a 911 or 921. I replaced it with a 24-5050 led bulb with the 911/921 base. The 24-5050 is brighter.

Looking at the fixture it looks to only have one contact point

Now to check the fuses I guess if that doesn't work I guess their may be a problem with the fixture

You could have the fixture wiring out of phase. A LED will only illuminate with the phase correct.

I dont know if a 921 fits the hh ood fan/light socket... all my online research points to that size.... its missing one as well and wanted to ask other opinions that may have changed the same bulb before

It looks like the same as the interior lights but I put one of my new 1141,1156 leds in it and they didn't work... maybe a bad housing? Or a different bulb..

and look at the bottom of the bulb to see the config of the contacts to make sure you replace it with the correct one.
