Like any good captain of any good vessel, RV must be named!!!

So what did you name yours - and more importantly - WHY?

The RV is "The Love Shack" like the B52's song.
The truck is "The Blue Beast".

I guess if you pronounce "RV" phonetically, you come up with "Irv". Maybe its name is "Irving"?

The previous truck camper was "The Bog Queen" - due to an extended rot problem we had to fix...
The current popup truck camper that followed the Bog Queen is called "Britney, the Popup Princess".

Well...I don't have an RV yet, but I'm working on it. Instead, I travel and camp in the back of my 2006 Jeep Commander. I recently spent 2 1/2 months writing, camping and traveling in the Canadian Rockies and Pacific Northwest.

During the trip, I asked my friends to help me name the Jeep. The name I picked (submitted by my friend Jeff) was Rocinante--the name of Don Quixote's horse in the novel by Cervantes. It's also the name of John Steinbeck's camper truck he tells about in Travels with Charley.

I like thinking I'm in good company with my Rocinante. ๐Ÿ™‚

"Jellyfish"

One our first RV trip the kids were playing an electronic version of the 20 questions game. They picked RV. The game gadget asked its 20 questions and then displayed "You were thinking about Jellyfish." We laughed and the kids demanded that we call our fifth wheel "Jellyfish."

That was 3 years ago. We liked the name enough that I purchased a custom license plate for it, "JELYFSH".

Well since we just purchased a Heartland Landmark Key Largo, in memory of Humphrey Bogart, we call ours The Bogey. Many young folks won't get it. The are a few of us that remember the classic movies.
