2013 Wildcat 313RE 5th Wheel

We recently (May) purchased a new 2013 Wildcat 313RE 5th Wheel, we've had it out twice and in the shop for repairs twice (following each trip), the repairs were mostly cosmetic except for the front lift motor not engaging and the bedroom slide rollers cutting the underside of the slide. I was curious to hear from other Wildcat owners, have you found your Wildcat to be of inferior quality?
I recently sold a 2007 Cardinal 31RK, never had any issues with it, so we went with a Forest River product again. I am hoping once we get it out of the shop, this time (it has been in since July 31), a stigma won't linger and we can enjoy our travels! This is my 6th 5th wheel so I'm not a novice...

We have a Wildcat and it has been good. No issue lots of bang for the buck. it is a 2005. Looking at there stuff now it doesn't seem like the same company it was. Congrats on the new unit.

Glad to hear your issues have been resolved. We have a 2012 Wildcat 313re and are very pleased with it . We have had just a few minor problems, all were taken care of by the dealer and Forest River. I have through our experience that Forest River is an excellent mfg to deal with.

Well, Forest River and our dealer did a buy back swap... we are now the owners of a 2014 Cedar Creek Silverback 29RE 5th wheel!!! It is leaps and bounds better than the Wildcat. We brought it home, set it up and started utilizing it!!! It towed great and nothing fell off during transit!!! The stigma of the Wildcat is behind us now, so we will move on!!! Forest River and Fun Town RV (Waco) definetly understand customer care!!! The Wildcat went to service on the 31st of July, as of 23rd of August they were still waiting on parts...

We had a Wildcat 24rls and just loved it. We did have some minor things go wrong but our dealer took care of them right away. I have two friends that also bought cat and never had minor problems.
I would ask your question at the Wildcat owners forum (Click Here)

I own a 2013 Wildcat 312BHX. I am trading right now in fact for a toyhauler.

Our wildcat has been in for many reasons. mostly cosmetic like you said. some appliance problems. couch was ripped, waited for a new one etc.

Hubby hates the electric slides. the toyhauler will have hydraulic slides and boy they run super smooth vs. the elec. slide that chugs into place.

Another Wildcat for me? Probably never. If I ''had'' to keep the one I have now I would be fine with it. It is a nice floorplan and interior and exterior are pretty. Buy another down the road, nope.

I have a 2012 WC 313RE. I have had a few little things wrong but I expected that. Nothing major like you have had. I like my WC. I guess the most major thing I have had go wrong is the shower leaking. That was fixed.

My WC is lived in almost all year around either by me or my son. It does get a lot of use.

When I bought mine they were of average quality but offered a lot of bang for the buck.
I think things may have changed though as a friend was shopping for a TT last week and stopped at a WC dealership (Poulsbo RV). He said every one he looked at had something wrong with it. Anything from crooked cabinet doors to (mostly) broken items like a sliding door that was ripped out of the ceiling. Salesman kept saying they would fix everything before he took delivery but who want's to buy something broken?
He ended up going elsewhere and buying a new Arctic Cat.

Can't say about the current ones but the '04 Wildcat 5th wheel that we used for 6 years had nothing go wrong; just did routine maintenance such as bearing grease, brake check, tires and some recaulking.
