Still cautious on buying the 2017 Malibu today. Besides removing fuses or disconnecting the battery is there a problem setting up the electrical harness. Some one mentioned before an issue with the cars back lights having to be modified because of being LD.

Some 2017 Chevy's CAN NOT use baseplates even though they fit and the guides say you can tow because the base plate blockS a engine air intake.

To the best of my knowledge no 2017 Malibu has LED tail lights. The only LEDs on the 2017 Malibu are the LED daytime running lights on some models. I just checked the Chevy web site. I have a 2017 Malibu Hybrid and it too has conventional tail lamps.

Roadmaster makes a switch you can install that eliminates the need to physically remove the fuse. Have on on my Sonic. Don't know about affect of LED tail lights.
