5th wheel bed saver

I am contemplating purchasing a 5th wheel bed saver. Blue Ox is the only brand I can find. Surely there are other mfg. that make them or is the risk of not having one not that great.......

That's exactly what I think when I read about the manual bed savers. If you feel that you need a bed saver, it had best be an "always on" type unit.

Or just get a B&W hitch and not worry about dropping your 5th wheel.

For me the risk is not great enough. Question to consider in my opinion would be, how many have dropped thier trailer out of the hundreds of thousands that are on the road? In my mind someone found a way to make money and did a good job of selling it. JMHO.
