99 years old certainly gets your attention and makes the news. But wrong way fatal collisions are a regular occurance for all age groups in the DFW area, if not every where else. Seems to be no answer to it.

Jeez, that's horrible. I see so many idiots driving without headlights at dusk, at night, in the rain, etc. All the idiot proofing they do to cars, but lights are still optional on a lot of vehicles.

Automatic rain sensing wipers... but they don't turn lights on, even though it is required in most (if not all) states to have lights on with wipers.

Seatbelt warning so you don't kill yourself in a wreck, but you can drive with no lights on on the wrong side of the road... no warnings.

Good old Michigan. They offer to renew my grandmother's license by mail every year. She's 96 and legally blind.
