Andersen Leveler

I am thinking of picking these up for my new travel trailer. I am trying to keep some weight down and I thought this would be lighter than bringing stacks of wood. Does anybody have these? Are they really as easy to use as they look? I was able to read some review here http://www.amazon.com/Andersen-3604-Andersen-3604-Camper-Leveler/dp/B001GC2LVM but I would like to hear more about them.

Got mine today. These things are really beefy and heavy! I knew it was going to be tight...

I have about 22" of space:

I could pound it in, but I'd never get it out. I'll have to trim the little end:

Get one of these and you will have an easy time levelling your trailer by yourself

Road Trekker, on your blog, you said you the levelers require two people. I sure hope it can be done with one. That was the whole reason I bought them. I usually travel alone, and sometimes find getting on the lego blocks I have been using a bit of a challenge. Somehow getting the blocks lined up perfectly under the tire has been my challenge. Please tell me they can used by one person.

Sorry I wasn't clear on my post, yes,it can be done by one person. I just find it easier and faster to level with 2 people working together as you don't have to get off the vehicle... etc. As "fj12ryder" mentioned, you do need solid parking brake as the RV tries to roll down the sloped end of the leveler. I updated my post to prevent confusion. Thanks.

From what I can see it looks like they could be used with one person if your parking brake is solid. You'd have to get it level, set the parking brake, and then get out and put in the wedge-chock to secure things, otherwise it will try to roll down the "slope" of the Anderson chocks.

In all honesty the blocks look easier to work with if you are alone. JMO of course.

Thank you for all of the replies. I went ahead and bought a pair. The local dealer had a good price on them, cheaper than I could find them online. I am going to try them out next Friday.

Everyone that I've read who use them love them. A few have had to trim the narrow edge for close fitting tires, but I haven't read any real complaints.

I bought a pair few months ago and has worked really well with my Roadtrek. I also made a bag carrier for easy transport. Posted some pictures on this blog: Clicky here

I bought some and planned to try them out this weekend, alas, the campground closed due to flooding roads in the area. I am visuallizing them as easier to use when I am traveling by myself. should be easier than trying to lay boards out and back/pull on them. Since I will be home, I need to pull my TT a bit forward to get some things moved in yard, so if it quits raining, I will try them out, at least for a bit.

It's easy and works great. Will only get you 4" of lift, though.

Yes they are that easy. I bought them in the middle of the last season and they work great. I still carry a couple pieces of 2x8 to put order them just in case. I have used them on dirt, grass, gravel, and concrete with no problems.
