Are you into Geocaching?

Seems like the ideal hobby for people who like to travel and have an adventure, so I'm wondering how many of you are?

We have been cachers for about 10 years. We have travel bugs out there with 20k miles on them and have only one of our own caches. It's a 3 stage multi cache.
it is a great hobby because you see places you had no idea existed.
It's a very inexpensive, fun way to spend the day.

Geocaching and camping go together, I like geocaching in the woods, ocean and the desert better than the city. I have three hides and going to put some more out next month.

We've been caching for 12 yrs. 4765 finds. Last year was pretty slow for us. Remodeling a house and moving so not much time for caching or traveling.

Bought a fairly basic Geocache GPS a couple years ago with good intentions. Hardly used it. It seems like we are far too busy just sitting around or doing other stuff to even find the roundtooit to use the GPS.

About 4 or 5 geocaches a year. We do it, but it is not our main entertainment.

We also geocache. A knee replacement slowed us down for a while, but we are doing more now. Some of our camping trips have been planned around great places to geocache. Many local geocachers enjoy sharing interesting facts and areas. We live a few miles from Wesley Chapel Gulf, but did not know about it until geocaching. Wesley Chapel Gulf

Us also, "The Noels" on geocaching.com or mi-geocaching.org. It depends on the group we are with as to how much activity we do.

I have been Geocaching for 12 years this month. I'm not nearly as active as others, but it is still fun. Last year I hid my first cache. Unfortunately someone wanted it more than me and it was stolen a few months later. I replaced it and it has been getting some activity which will pick up when the weather warms up a bit I'm sure.

I also released 4 travel bugs in 2013. One of them has only traveled about 60 miles. I'm getting ready to go get it and release it again in another cache. Of the other three one has traveled over 1,800 miles, one a little over 600, and one was picked up and vanished.

Sort of frustrating so I probably won't release anymore bugs.

Million dollar satellites to find tupperware in the woods. A great addition to activities you can do while travelling. Worth looking into.

Yep, great opportunity to see new things. Not near as active as I was when I first started. Sometimes life gets in the way of fun! I still try to get at least one in every new place I visit.
