An important WW II battle over a bridge is being reenacted in Tidioute, PA on Saturday August 2. The bridge over the Allegheny River is similar to the Ludendorff Bridge that crossed the Rhine. The Germans tried to blow up the bridge before the Americans could cross.

WikipediaThis is the first time I've heard of a reenactment that was about WW II. We've been to a couple Civil War reenactments when the kids were still with us... It will be interesting to see all the old war equipment - they'll even have some German tanks.
The best part about going to see this is we get to go camping in the beautiful Allegheny National Forest! We haven't been there in years.
