Big Blunder, any suggestions?

Not sure if this is in the correct spot and if not just let me know. The DW made a blunder and I wanted to know if anyone else has done this and is there any suggestions as to what to do if anything. Not thinking she laid a hot skillet lid in the sink (which is plastic of course) and it melted a place in the sink. Now it didn't go all the way through but it concerns me. What if anything should I do to repair this or is it repairable? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If there are no leaks and the water still works then leave it till you get sick of looking at it.

I go with new sink. Besides the appearance issue, you will never be able to thoroughly clean the damaged area.

It still holds water fine, is this something that is a have to when it comes to replacing or as long as it holds water am I alright?

I would guess that you will need to replace the sink. It's not usually a major job.
If she can live with the damaged sink, and there is plenty of material left, there probably is not a great rush to repair/replace it.

However, the sooner you can make it pretty again, the more points you will gain!

This might be a good time to go for a bigger sink if you got room. I made mine alot bigger in my off-road popup without too much effort...

Real easy to install...

Just put a new sink in. They're cheap and easy to replace.
