You "informed the campsite owner and the sheriff was called". So who technically had the person removed? You or the owner? I know I'm beating this to death but it goes back to who "owns" the site during occupancy.
Those who claim ownership of their sites seem to have disappeared from this thread.

Correct. My trespassing ordeal is a bit different than just a person walking through my campsite. My reason for the comment is that you do (as a rental tenant) have a legal means to remove someone from your campsite.
My story, in a nutshell, is this. I was set up with a date through a "friend" (they are no longer a friend now). My date (at the time I was introduced to her) was renting a room from my friend. After our 2nd date, she informed me that my friend kicked her out. I, being the kind hearted soul that I am, suggested that she could stay at the RV until she found another place. After the 2nd night of her "temporary" stay, I quickly realized that she had no intention of finding another place and that she had found her "home". She refused to leave the site. Once she was out of the RV, I locked the door. I informed the campsite owner and the sheriff was called. I have never dealt with an adult that just crossed their arms and sat down and refused to deal with the situation. I am still amazed a the situation to this day. I realized that I got into the situation because I am too trusting of people. Live and learn I guess.

Our dog used to put his front paws on the bed next to me and wake me up. I'd roll over and stop snoring. Dog was protecting himself and able to go back to sleep. Smart dog!! :B
I've come to a conclusion about snoring. Although snoring is annoying if someone else is doing it, I think it's nature's way of originally protecting humans.

You idiots should stop with all the legal horse hockey on site rentals and getting arrested for trespassing. Nobody cares - nobody is going to get arrested for walking on your site - no ranger gives a hoot about your stupid stuff, they probably have real issues to deal with rather then 2 idiots getting into a dispute because someone walked on my site.
Cant you just say to the person 'I would really appreciate it is you didnt cut through my site' and be done with it.

Can you have someone arrested for trespassing? Again, it is your land. Call the police and try that. See what they say.
We are not land barons. We are people staying in a campsite for a night or two or whatever. Lighten up already. Your legal rights as a landowner/tenant/leaseholder are almost zero staying in a campsite.
Not to stir the pot with further discussion but you CAN have someone arrested for trespassing and removed from your designated campsite. I have had to do it with a date that refused to leave. Unfortunately, they are allowed to stay at the next campsite right next to you unless the owner of the property talks to the sheriff and has them removed from the whole campground.
Not walking through someone's campsite is just common courtesy. I've stayed at a campground where you walked pretty darn close to some sites when accessing the paths to the bathhouse, beach, common areas, etc. It all boils down to being courteous.

Couple week-ends ago we were at a state park in Indiana. I got up early to take our dogs for their morning walk. We passed several tents and a couple pop-ups. I was surprised how much "snoring" could be heard. My dogs were good and never barked, but they sure wanted to go up to the tents and the pop-ups and see what the noise was all about.
Anyone who thinks their MH, TT, or 5er is soundproof is basically out of touch with reality. It does not have to be a tent or a popup. I have heard snoring from all of them, and can usually pick up what's on TV. The best are the ones with subwoofers. I can usually tell after the first night who has one.
