I have a carolina carport and it is fully enclosed. I am wondering what a night mare it would be to put a wind turbine on the roof of it to expel some of the heat from it....

To answer your question , you can walk on that roof as long as ya stay on the ridges . The roof will cut with a jig saw . Cut your hole , install what ever ya want ! Myself I like the large solar fans .

I would put a gable fan in one end and a vent on the other. Have it on a thermostat.

Either that, or simply put gable vents at both ends and some vents at the bottom. Allow normal convection to draw cooler outside air near the ground and expel the hotter inside air near the ridge.

We built a barn and installed windows, but it got darn hot in the summer with the cement fiber siding panels. We ended up putting gable vents and that helped quite a bit.

an electric roof fan might be a better Idea, you can set the temperature to come on and off. Only cost about 60 bucks

I don't know that I would bother with a wind turbine, but a vent or two is definitely not a bad idea.
