Champion 3100 Generator/Inverter

I went to Cabela's last Friday and ordered the Champion 3100, they notified me today that it had came in and I could go pick it up. I paid $749.99 + tax = $794.99 for it last Friday.
Before going today to get it that little voice in my head said just for the fun of it go online and check the price again. I did and noticed it was now being offered for $699.99 so of course I asked if they were going to credit me the difference. They said sure, go around back and get it than bring the receipt back in and we will do a return and we will refund the price you paid and then you can re buy it again at the new price. So that's what I did. They refunded me $53.00 and than said well this weeks special is if you spend $500 or more we give you a $50 rebate on your next purchase of $50 or more between now and November 30 2014.
So to me that was like finding a $100 bill on the sidewalk today.

I didn't have to pay the overweight shipping charge. Yes they didn't have it in stock and had to order it. So I guess because I returned it to get the lower price they had it in stock?

I just called Cabela's and was told that the $50 doesn't apply to purchases that the store doesn't have in stock. They do have a $20 rebate going on now though. I can order for $699 but have to pay $18 for overweight shipping charges plus $43 in tax for a total of $761.00

Wanted to do a little comparison. If the pictures are accurate, it appears that the control panels are somewhat different, but the units are basically the same. Huge difference in cost. Anyone see something, I don't ?
