dehumidifiers

Hi all:
I am going to be leaving my TT on site for 2 months over the summer in south central FL.
We will be going up on weekends ( it is up from here ).
I am looking at small portable humidifiers, to replace tubs of damp rid.
Most look to have a small tank that has to be emptied.
If it gets full the machine shuts off.
I have read about people on here having theirs drain into a kitchen sink.
That is what I would like to do.
I'm just wondering how you did it.
Did you get one of the ones with a removable plastic bucket in the bottom front, and just drill it for a drain hose?
Any suggestion greatly appreciated

Thanks for the ideas.
There won't be any place to store a large unit, (bigger than countertop size) while we are there for the weekends.
I didn't see why I couldn't get the countertop model, with a small clear plastic tank in front, drill a hole in the tank a little way up from the bottom, and set the whole unit in the kitchen sink to drain.
I called the manufacturer ( in the US believe it or not ), and left a message.
When I hear back I'll update this with their response.
Thanks again.

Costco has a dehumidifer that has a tank, gravity drain, or pumped drain. $150.

We bought the smallest one at Lowes. It will hold about a gallon when it shuts off. It weigh a considerable bit because of compressor. It has a hose connection on the side under a cover. It can be set for continious or specific humidity level. It has good casters or wheels to move it about.
My first thought were to find one that sat on the counter. Didn't find one. Just set it in the shower with a short hose or run a hose to sinks.
It shouldn't fill gray tank in a long long time. I would set it on a ceramic surface or metal. I don't know too much about them but Lowes and others recalled some previous models becaue of fire.
If you look on the Net you will see the same models under GE and a variety, of names and prices. It has a filter, which we've yet to clean where all the air circulates through it. It pulls in a lot of air, obviously, to get the moisture out.

The ones he is looking at do not have a drain but require emptying when full. I use one of these in my 23 ft trailer 24/7/365. It takes about 5-6 days to fill up around here. You could drill a hole in their tanks and set one in the kitchen sink and one in the bathroom sink and let them run. Then every so often drain the gray tank.

Many do have a hose connection. If it doesn't, rigging up something to let the bucket drain would be reasonable. (If it's like the ones I've seen, the only thing around the bucket is the plastic case of the dehumidifier; one easy approach would be to drill a hole in the bucket and a similar hole in the case and setting the whole shebang in a sink or shower.)

This is the one clicky I bought and I put it on the counter next to the sink and run a hose to the sink

Buy a water collecting unit with removable bucket as I did and be sure it has a drain hose attachment. Now put it in your shower and set desired humidity level. It will cycle on and off as needed. We even dry cloth's with it by hanging wet stuff in the bathroom over night. Totally solves ALL humidity problems.

Thanks for the quick replies.
The small ones I am looking at don't say anything about a possible hose connection.
They only have about a 2 quart capacity.
I'm looking at the small ones because 1 it's a small trailer, and 2 I am currently using the large damprid tub, and it lasts several weeks.

Set it in the shower and let it drain there.

All the ones that I have seen have a bucket with a hose connection (spigot) on them. There is a knockout plug on the spigot so you can use it either way.

Most with a "bucket" for water will have a blanked off fitting tom connect a hose.

You could do the drill thing but quite a few dehumidifier models have a hose spigot already on the unit.
