Different kind of tire dilemma (update last page)

(Update last page)I have a seasonal unit that extremely weathered tires. I need to take it two hours away for repairs. I am replacing some aged out tires on a camper at home that show no signs of weather checking but are old. I thought of reusing the tires from at home for the repair trip. The other option is to purchase some cheap new tires for the seasonal for this one time trip. When the seasonal gets back it won't be moved for years.
The question is reuse or replace? Can get Tow max tires for around $270. plus mounting.

How old is "old"? I've been driving on some tires that are 10 years old, but they are getting sketchy, and would have to be replaced soon if I'd kept the car.

Have not taken the tires off the home trailer yet. Just ordered new tires today for it because of age of tires not poor condition.

Every ones idea of out of date is different. If they have been in regular use recently, still look good, have the load capability, I would use them, unless they are more than ten years old. Inflate to max, keep speed a little lower, look at them closely, before the return trip after repair.

The ones I own show no signs of deterioration but our out of date. The ones on the seasonal are shot. Home and seasonal are 900 miles apart.

Got it. Only you can answer this. Do you trust the out of date tires? Are they capable of one more trip? Why did you take them out of service?

I need to take the seasonal 2 hrs away for repairs and then back to the seasonal site. Then it will sit for years before being moved again.
