FMCA and safe Ride Motor Club

I have been with CoachNet for years, but they have dropped the plan I've been on and of course want more dollars.

I don't need anything fancy, just basic services. I decided to shop around.

Good Sam has it's ups and downs (review wise) but think it would work for us and where we travel.

The CoachNet plan I had was through FMCA but they now us a company called VAS which in turn uses Safe Ride Motor club. Haven't heard of them and can't find much on them (especially any reviews anywhere).

Wondering if anyone know them, used them, knows someone that has, etc.
Any information appreciated.
Due to depreciation the above opinions are now worth less than what you paid for them.

We are all good at something.....
I just happen to be a good bad example.

OK - for *basic* services look into an *American Motorcyclist* membership.
*NO* M/C required, they will take care of your two or four wheeler.
Including RVs.
Towing limited to 35 miles. Cost - about $40. per year.

IMO - next step up = better than GS, CN, etc. - check into - US Rider

No hay-burner ownership required, same (or better) services as those
other ones. Will provide ERS and/or tow whatever *you* are driving or towing.

CN is not teaming with Good Sam, Good Sam uses Allstate to provide the actual dispatch service. Then like all the rest contracts with local towing services to actually perform the service.

Response time is in no way to judge a towing service. Response time depends a lot on wrecker availability and distance from you.

A better judge of service is the equipment they use. There is a huge difference between towing a 32 ft gasser and a 40 ft pusher. The only way to get this info is to question those that have been towed.

I have been towed through Coach Net and in talking to the tow driver, he said that they have contracts with several insurance companies.

BTW, FMCA did not drop CoachNet, it was the other way around. CN decided they could make more $$ by siding with Good Sam

I'm with CoachNet and this question comes up here quite often. It would matter which one you chose if they had their own fleet of service trucks and techs, but they don't. They all use the existing network of mostly truck repair shops throughout the country, something you could easily do with a cell phone and Google.

The main difference between them is response time and the availability of a tech to answer questions.
