We got our Pirit hose from Camping World on sale for about $50 during the summer when we did not need it. Seemed to be much cheaper then.

We do the same thing as Topjimmy... heat tape. We bought a heat tape at Lowes that's 10' longer than the hose so that we could wrap one end around the connections on the trailer and then also around the spigot and pipe at the campsite. Works great.

I fill up my fresh water tank and unhook the water hose when it will be below freezing and operate off of the tank. You can refill your tank even when below freezing if you allowed your host to drain after you unhooked it. Even with a heated hose, which I won't buy, you still have to worry about the water faucet you hook to. Not worth it for me.

So you really want a $250 heated water hose?

I would rather just fill up my fresh water tank on warmer days, and dump at the same time.

If you are going Fulltime like I have the past 3 years you gotta have a heated hose or you can do like i do and go the cheaper route and get heat TAPE at the hardware store I think it cost me about 25 bucks and i also put foam tube wrapped around the hose also WORKS PERFECT and i have never had a frozen hose.I do not like traveling around with a full tank of fresh water it is just too much weight but that is a option to run just off the inboard tank when it gets cold

Hi,

Probably better to run on tank water. The hoses are expensive.

I think there are only 2 mfgs making them. If I recall correctly, Amazon carries one brand and Camping World carries the other Brand.
