I've heard to just sprinkle Ajax (?) around the tires. Is this sufficient? Or are there any other ways to get rid of ants?

My TT picked up an infestation of Argentine ants (those very tiny black ants) a couple years ago. I tried the poisons and traps to no avail. Finally bought diatomaceous earth and threw it in the pass-thrus and under the sink and behind all the access panels, everywhere I could think of. That did the trick. It's safe to sprinkle around the tires and jacks when at a campsite, but you have to remember to reapply after a rain, as it loses its effectiveness after getting wet.

Our results with Terro were mixed. Diatomaceous earth is currently my preferred weapon.

Terro ant killer.Extremely effective. Remember, it's ANT killer, not people and pets killer.

Ant killer powder outside, Sevin in the bays and Ant Motels inside. Worked mostly.

We've used Comet, and spray effectively. One campground we went to there were white circles of comet all around the campers. It was pretty funny. The Publix a half mile away had a whole self full of it.

I carry Diatomaceous Earth to put put down to make an effective barrier against ants.

I have used it for years around the house and my dogs, also found that it is a great flea deterrent too.

Effective, safe around humans and pets and is a natural product that wont contaminate the soil or the environment unlike Comet or pesticides.

Borax and powdered sugar mix in just a little water to make a thick liquid and leave it where you see them. They will take it home and kill the whole nest.

Didn't work for us in Mobile AL this past October. Bought Home Defense ant spray at Walmart..worked great on the ant trails through the Comet we used when we parked.
