I finally found a good vacuum for the TT!

I know several have posted on here about a good compact vacuum for the TT. I found this at a yard sale over the weekend. It is the Dirt Devil Broom Vac. This is not the current version which is a rechargable broom that sucks up dirt. This is just like a scaled down upright vacuum. Its small but powerful with a powered brush and the handle telescopes so it can be stored in a TT wardrobe or cupboard. Its lightweighet and small enough to get in any space. I don't think they make them any more but if you can find one it will be worth it. This works just like a regular vaccuum...so much better than these little stick vacs that use a filter and dirt cup that you have to clean. This uses regular disposable paper bags. Does anyone else have one of these? Do you love it too?

Ours came from a garage sale for a dollar. Love it and the small space it takes up.

I believe this is the same one we use. Just a scaled down version of a full size unit with the telescoping handle. It works quite well.

On second thought I believe ours is the "dynamite" model. Collapses to 31" when not in use and weighs about 8 lbs. Has all the functions and features of a full sized vac including a motorized brush.

Our vac died last week, and we just picked up the one in the link you posted.. What a great lil vac.

Thanks for the link.

I think the secret for the small vacs in the revolving brush. Suction alone does nothing on carpet or uneven floors.

I am guessing it is not this:

We have one of these, which is probably similar to what you are describing. We have had it for about two years, and it has been used brutally. We are in the desert, and it is used daily to pick up dog hair, sand and dust for our whole house. I know most people would not spend $200 on a stick vac, but were it to die, I would buy another in a second. By far the best smooth floor vac I have owned.

No, what you have seems to be the updated version they are now calling by this name. Like someone else said this is just a small upright vacuum. This goes over hard floor and carpet which I have both of in my TT.
