I found this product listed in the link below. You are suppose to add it to your batteries to make them last longer. I am not going to use it. I don't need it. I just thought I would post it on here and get your opinions.

From Trojan's website: Many charge controllers have equalization settings that you can set to help ensure the health of your batteries. Equalize your batteries at least once per month for 2 to 4 hours, longer if your batteries have been consistently undercharged.

I had a Magnum 2012 inverter/charger installed. What a difference it made in my battery performance!

I thought it was "Snake Oil" too. But, I thought I would throw it out there.

I put one of these on my chassis & house batteries a couple years ago.
So I won't know if it works or not for a few years yet.

It contains magnesium and cadmium sulfates. They are both salts so may have adverse effects on plates within. Cadmium, is very toxic, also.

The only problem with using "Battery Equaliser" is that it makes the batteries really heavy. So you have to replace the sky hooks quite often and they are pricey.

Well, here's my $0.02. Realizing battery manufacturers are in the business of making money, if they could add a little bit of chemical (at very low cost to them) to a battery and improve the performance by 25+%, they would as then they could charge a lot more for the battery.

"snake oil" indeed. You can use epsom salts to extend life a bit--but by the time you need such "treatments", the battery is pretty much dead meat.

I m quite dubious. 150 years ago they would call this, " snake oil ".
