Inner slide rubber "wiper" came off

Gang...

I've found my inner rubber slide wiper has come off in the closet slide on our rig. The rubber itself is undamaged.

It looks like it was originally held on by what almost looks like 2 plastic rivets into the aluminum framing in the opening. There is no sign of an adhesive residue from OEM.... The side wipers appear to have some sort adhesive on them, however.

My plan is to use some panhead screws where the rivets were (and maybe add a couple more than originally used). I'd like to also add some adhesive to the rubber/aluminum junction. My question is what sort of adhesive should be used in conjunction with those screws?
