Interesting...Barney, thanks for the link to the interior photos...really helps in figuring out the inside. Not sure it's my cup of tea, but I wish the designer success...will be interesting to see if this proves to be a success:)

Neat concept.

Not sure why people are complaining about its size and price tag. Do you complain that a $40k Corvette doesn't have as much room as your $40k SUV? In Europe of other parts of the world, the roads are not as big, so maneuverability is more important. I'm sure they can triple the size of that can and get more space, but where's the fun in that?

I used to camp with a 13ft Casita trailer, so I can appreciate its size. Many of us live and enjoy what's outside our camper/tent/trailer/can... more than what's in it.

I think its really cool looking and an interesting idea...as if Ikea built a camper.

The $32,000 (US) price tag is bit steep for something that small though.

Wonder if its light enough to get pulled by a smart car. Guessing not, but cool none the less. Thumbs up to the designers. I doubt that it would go into production, but if it did one could get way creative with a paint job.

Barney...

Thanks! It appears to have a glass top stove in it too! Lots of thought went into this for sure. That "can" space is pretty narrow. A person would have to make sure THEIR can would fit in THAT can..:R ..LOL

I hope to hit an RV show in the future that has one of these on display. It would be amusing to see it in person.

My bad. In a previous post I (without looking close enough), thought the trailer pulled with the flat ends forward and aft. I suggested rounding them for better aero-dynamics. Obviously this would not do a thing for it. The price is high for equivalent space, but the durability looks great. Would like to see one just a bit larger.

According to this link, it has a shower and a cassette toilet. Weight is listed at 3,652 but it doesn't say if that is curb or dry weight.

It's definitely neat, but it's not for me. I am glad someone is thinking outside the box.
Maybe we'll see round slide outs on motorhomes and TT's in a few years.

Thanks for giving us a peek at this. Very innovative. I think with rounded bulkheads at either end would enhance the aero-dynamics of this camper and at the same time give it some much needed storage. Changes are coming.

Some of you are forgetting that many people use small teardrop campers without bathrooms and such. This unit has more room than those, but when being hauled, it is about the same size as a teardrop.

There might be a bathroom in the right side, but the video does not show it. Takes 20 seconds to expand... that is pretty good.

Price is too high, but then again, it is French... so it figures.

I like the creativity of its makers. I wonder what other "neat" rigs are out there?

There's sure nothing wrong with thinking outside the "Box".

After I got past being impressed I started looking for those little things that make an RV practical ... like storage, furnace, refrigerator, air conditioning, propane tanks, holding tank access, Awnings, etc. I'm sure a lot of those are there, but the way it closes up sorta makes traditional utilities and appliance's a trick to install.

Also missing was the weight, but maybe I missed it.

That said ... it's still a COOL looking "beer can". ๐Ÿ™‚

Yup, I noticed a lot of those things too. I didn't even see a bathroom. Was there one on that right side? The video really didn't show it well. I get the impression it's not self contained as in having a toilet, shower, holding tanks, etc. Although it's a cool looking concept, I think you can get a lot more out of a pop-up than that.
