I think maybe if you drive a motorhome at 70 you are safe, but pulling anything behind it is not safe.
So big a world, so little time to see.

I suppose that when my motorhome is 70 years old I will stop towing with it. Chuck

I have seen (believe me) more thirdly year olds towing that shouldn't be driving then those in their 70s and 80s.

My thoughts exactly, I'll be 80 my next birthday. Still pulling my 5th wheel.

I once watched a movie in which the main character was immortal and was around 1000 years old in the movie. This character was very sad and wouldn't have desired any other person on Earth to ever be immortal like he was. The reason -> because everything and everyone in his life that he had come to love eventually was gone or had died.

Maybe we all die after a number of years for our own good. :h

Maybe, but would it not be interesting to see what happens in the future? Maybe I could learn some new hobbies, quilt some more fabric, learn new skills, etc.

I had a great aunt who bought her last Mercedes at 98 and drove across the country round trip. She died 3 days before her 100 birthday. Still driving (some restrictions) still had red hair, still golfing, still wearing bikinis while in her swimming pool.

I went to Idaho for a nice couple months next to fast water, then had to go for a death in Sioux Falls, that added 1200 miles each way. Then back to the water on the Salmon river. after two months came home to Az. I drove the last 1200 miles in two days pulling our little Ford. As long as I kept moving I was fine. When I stopped the wife wanted me to do things. Nev. is safe for old folks pulling something after 70.

As I approach 70 I backpack less, run fewer rivers, and have quit leading pack strings. I am just getting to the age where having an RV is starting to make more sense.

I'm almost 71. Travelled over 8000 miles over the winter towing a trailer. Got home and got the 6spd manual Miata out for the summer. Our 38 foot sailboat launches tomorrow for another summer of travelling under sail.

I am 65 and refuse to believe that I only have a set number of years of camping ahead of me. I have to get older, I refuse to get old. My dad started to get old the day he retired. At 57 I was forced to retire, I got a part time job that allows me time to travel whenever I want. I love it. My wife and I are on the road at least 2 full months out of the year and are planning to be gone more net summer. I plan on wearing out a couple of trucks before I check out.
