Hit the road for a 1500 mile, 9 day & night trip with the TT:B

North Atlanta GA up to Pennsylvania

Prime Camping spot in route, only costs $56 --but rate came with some free supplies for the trip!

Shenandoah over-nite stop, newer RV park, right off highway -(so-so setup) so will remain nameless.

Scored some fresh produce and pie on the VA/West VA line, roadside stop -- Caramel Nut Apple Pie

Seven Points - Raystown Lake ---NICE, NICE Campground and area!!!

Great sunsets on the water & mtns!!

Locals --->

Came up to check out the Mtn Biking --Much more ROCK than in the ATL area !!!

Found some sweet back-woods riding ---Rothrock State Park

Ridge views --

On the way back stayed at Georgia's HIGHEST campground - Black Rock Mountain State ParkBeware tight, tight campground, but really cool, not BIG RIG friendly

Hiking in the State Park

Random interesting things seen ---

DW thinks I go over-board cleaning the TT at campground after traveling, Heck, I showed her this gentleman traveling with his own Weed-Wacker to do the lawn when needed !!

This couple brought their Hot-Rod Mustangs out to the campground -Roush Racing Mustangs

Lawn-art

Cool setup -

Kids enjoying the cool fall like weather -

I have never seen a campsite that has a cement pad and a patio area. I have camped in a lot of parks. Is this quite a common thing to see?

Lots of high end places have them. Usually, you pay a couple of bucks more for them.

I'm still not sure if loulou57 is pulling on our legs........

The only pic of a campsite with cement pad and patio is the WALMART parking lot site!

Raystown is gravel, although super level and nice pic-nic tables, fire-pit, and seating area at each spot.

Where is seven points-Raystown lake? Looks very nice.

Middle of the state, closest town is Huntingdon, PA about 8 miles away,
State College (Penn State College) is approximately 1 hr drive away.

Corps of Engineer Lake & park.

We got REAL Lucky and landed a reservation of a prime Lake spot (after labor Day, sites are first come first serve) so we stayed the week. Every day many were scoping out to see if we were leaving, wanting to secure our spot.

The point loop is so popular, that Thursday, saw several locals come in to secure spots with equipment, they left, I assume for work, too return on the weekend.

Sites have Electric ONLY, you have to work off you fresh water tanks and gray/black tanks. There is water available at the loops, just not at each site. One main dump station, with several lanes, at the head of the park. One loop I believe Ridge, I heard has washers & dryers for clothe washing if needed.

From what I hear the Lake spots get reserved 6 months in advanced and stay reserved. Boaters paradise --along with camping, hiking, Mtn Biking, fishing, relaxing.....

Truly a wonderful campground!

Ha Ha! Funny man so early in the morning. Seriously though, are these sites something that is "the norm" in CG's?

ROFLOL... some folks just can't leave their vocation or advocations at home. But, based on one photo and little information, I'll give him benefit of the doubt and call him a Workamper. Real or "wannabe". the results are the same.

Park Ranger came by shortly after he started and shut him down.....Against park rules due to a contract to a local lawn company!

[COLOR=]Thank You !!!!

Never too Late.....

I did figure with all the "Drama" posts, throwing in a post on why most of us RV and frequent here would be nice for a change.
