Where's cheap place to buy one? Wally world had them for $25 a couple of years ago, now they want $40+. Ebay and the like are $45 to 60 with shipping. Who sells them cheap?

The price of copper has gone way up in the past few years.

Check out the price of tires lately. When I bought a pair of tires in 2005, they where $175, by 2007 $215 each, and now they want about $300 each for the all steel tires - Michelin 235/85R16E Rib.

I have priced around several place to make my own 30 and 50 amp cords, and I have not found anywhere that I can make it myself cheaper than buying a pre-made one.

If you can get one for $40, you're doing good! You can always go to Lowe's and buy any length of 30 amp cord and attach the male and female ends. It might be cheaper and you can get any length you want that way.

Sorry man...

WalMart is about it for cheapness.
