On line dealer

I filled out a questionnaire on the Internet and I only put in my name and email address. The dealer followed up with a phone call. How could he get my phone number? Yes I should have asked him but I doubt I would have been given a reasonable answer. Any pertinent ideas?

LOL ..... not very internet savvy I guess. Just type your email address into Goggle Search and see for yourself how he got everything about you.

I put my Email in google search and found NO information about myself.
I guarantee you that at least 4 ads came up that would have give you every bit of info on your life, if you had continued with them. We used the same resources in law enforcement that are available to you and with your email, I could find everything about you since birth. All of these large companies use these same resources. Whether you like it or not, you live in a glass house today and are very visible to every salesman in the world, that wants to spend a few dollars and subscribe to the correct websites.

Its not that hard and like Executive said, if you gave them your real name then that is all it takes.

If you provided them with your REAL name, Google, Spokeo, Linkedin... any of those will provide anyone with your address and phone number...nothing is sacred anymore...Dennis

Phone number is cell number which is on no call list.
All cell numbers are automatically on a no-call list.

If this dealer had done that to me I'd be pissed. Doesn't he realize you left your phone number off for a reason?

Nevadanick is spot on!!!

Sounds like the OP is a salesman's dream customer. I'll give you $100,000 for your trade in if you'll overpay $150,000 on the coach I'm selling.....:S.

When trading in a car/truck/rv etc. The ONLY thing that's important is the DIFFERENCE between the two. Negotiations 101.....Dennis
