Rodent wiring destructon in Terra

We've had three rigs, our terra is the latest and the ONLY one to ever get rodents. While camping my son asked what the shiny copper and yellow plastic was on the dinette seat at the lhs of the slideout. Uh, insulation and wire. Got home, took the top panel off from the outside above the fridge and the yellow and black wires that run above and left of the fridge and snake through the wall were shorting and the yellow was held by one strand, The yellow wire broke and fell inside the wall when I touched it. Lucky? I think not. I found the other ends of the yellow and black wire behind the access panel above the dinette in the cabinet on the opposite side of the fridge. Guess I can cut these and pull a couple new wire through. I frickin hate rodents now.

Would like to pull the entire cabinet off to get to this but am not sure how or if will give me access..

Just got back from three days in the desert dry camping, am beat, but on a mission and ready to fall down with exhaustion. Maybe I should take it to an rv dealership, but I don't have that kind of cash to throw out if it will be a major deal.

Any help is as always much appreciated.

Thanks.

Just a suggestion but before you get too carried away you might consider getting an inspection camera that you can stick through a small hole in the wall and see whats back there. You can find them pretty cheap at Harbor Freight

Thanks, very good advice. I just borrowed one from a tech at work.

Can you use the old damaged wires to pull new wire through?
