Has anyone used shop4seats.com for buying rv couches or love seats? We are interested in their rv recliner love seat. The product looks like just what we want but we really want to see one somewhere before buying but their store is in TX, 1200 miles away from us. Thx for any help

We did buy a swivel recliner from Shop4Seats with no issue at all. Lambright was going to be at least 6 weeks out, and Shop4Seats was able to immediately ship. We were working with space limitations, and we wanted a swivel wall hugger. If I hadn't wanted a swivel, I would've had a lot more choices. I looked for days on end for both RV furniture & non-RV. I was a little nervous about buying without trying as it wasn't inexpensive, especially when you factor in the shipping. In the end, it worked out well.

There are other brands of RV furniture, unless you are specifically sold on the shop4seats stuff. We just bought a Lambright double recliner and will be picking it up this coming week. We did hours and hours of research before settling on Lambright (made in Indiana).

Some other brands are Flexsteel, Best Home Furnishings (BHF), and RecPro (low end of pricing). We found a few too many negative posts about shop4seats and would have been a bit nervous buying from them. There pictures look pretty enticing tho. There are some companies that sell various brands of RV furniture like Brad & Hall, Glastop, Dave & LJ's RV Interiors (where we bought our Lambright) & Countryside RV Interiors.

If you have dimensional issues, look carefully at the dimensions that are given, especially front to back for recliners. I didn't really trust the shop4seats front-back dimensions and the drawing dim. seem unclear - for one recliner they say 4.5" and then 2-3" in the same description - so what is it really?. "Wall hugger" clearances to wall can vary between brands and models. If it matters, lead times can be long and this time of year is around 2 months, or more and depends on options and fabric.

We looked at Lazyboy recliners but are expensive and tend to be larger so harder to fit in some RVs. We have a tight front-back dim. restriction so overall recliner depth matters a lot to us.

The Lippert jackknife sofa in our TT is a lightweight piece of junk, not to mention really uncomfortable! Looked at some double recliner sofas at a CW and they are Lippert. No thank you...

The try before you buy concept is our idea as well. Unfortunately the showroom is 1200 miles away. We plan to be near that area next winter so may stop by then.

We are also looking for a new one for the house. Unfortunately we have not seen anything that really lights our fire so far. One thing that we do like about the one shown in shop4seats is the console and USB outlets inside, we also really like the swivel tables on the arms. Just have not been able to find anything similar in the local furniture stores or on Amazon or lazy boy sites.

None of the ones we have found so far have the arm trays or a console that folds up out of the way when not needed.

The return policy on the shop4seats one makes it impractical to buy it without trying it in our view.

The furniture in our 5th wheel was so uncomfortable, we just went to a regular furniture store and bought a Lazyboy love seat and chair and love them. Both are recliners. They are so comfortable, we went and bought a similar couch and chair for our home. I have never been impressed with RV spec furniture. Personally, I prefer to "test drive" what I am going to be sitting in. Just another option.

Exactly, unless it needs to be particularly small, no reason to go with "rv" furniture.

Yeah, I could no more buy a piece of furniture without sitting it it than I could buy a used car sight unseen.
