I have a roof mounted winegard CarryOut on my 5th wheel.....I would like to get it to working order but have not been able to find some one to come check it out and repair it if necessary. I contacted Dish but never heard back from them........
Satellite providers won't checkout rv systems. Have you turned it on to see if it searches? Have you pulled the dome off to see what it is set for Directv of Dish. There is only one 10 amp fuse in the system make sure it's good and go from there. Or you can call a mobile rv tech to check it out.
I would pull the dome check for broken or dislodged belt, while trying to operate check to see if servos are trying to operate, look board for obvious burned areas, physically move dish, check for loose wires
The only things you can check are power, coax connections. Other than that its ship it back to Winegard. From there on your at the mercy of their horrible customer service.
It can be sent back to Winegard but that is cost prohibitive. You can throw parts at it. Parts are few inside. A belt or two, a small board, and a couple servos. My problem turned out to be poor 12volt power. What is it doing and not doing? Does it move the dish?
