surface mildew on interior

We have never had a problem with mildew until the past few months here in South Carolina. I usually leave a window or two cracked and that seems to have worked. I went out to the trailer to grab something and noticed mildew starting to grow on a pot holder and a pillow case on the bed. Needless to say I went over the trailer top to bottom and completely wiped it down with a mildew cleaner. I left a small fan on to circulate air and dry everything after wiping it down. My plan is to leave a front and rear windows partially open and crack the roof vents to hopefully solve the problem. Anyone ever experience this in this climate? We have only been in SC for our forth winter and not had this problem.

Mold and mildew is the scourge of being in SC! Hate it!! We use Damp Rid to help stop its growth and also keep the roof vents open when RV is stored next to the house. Also found out it was best not to cover the RV like some do. Traps moisture in. I HATE MOLD!!!!! Always have some window open so fresh air can circulate.

You could have a waterleak some place in a wall when it rains. Check the roof and windows. Also buy some moisture absorbers at a Dollar store. Works great in our RV. You be surprised how much moisture is in the Air.

You did not say if you were occupying the RV or not: full-timing. We live in our RV and I have found the key is to keep air circulation in areas touching the outside walls. An example it the bed mattress. I pull it forward about an inch away from the slide wall so air gets in. Like you said, air helps.
