Wheels don't spin silently, brake issue?

The other day I lifted my trailer up to do the ez-lube thing on the wheel bearings. I noticed that when lifted, when I rotated the wheels/tires by hand there was a slight noise. They don't spin silently.

Does this mean my brakes aren't adjusted right?

There are two types of electric trailer brakes. Drum and disk. the drum type is adjustable, the disk type is not. Both employ electromagnets.

Yes, anytime you have electric drum brakes you have an electro-magnet.

Yes. The magnet when it has current going through it is attracted to the inner face of the drum. As the drum rotates, the magnet is dragged along and pulls a lever to apply the brake shoes. It's how electric brakes on a trailer work. It may s c r a p e a bit without current flowing.
