Ok we have been dry camping 3 days.. started out with fresh water almost full . Grey water and black empty.
Now fresh lights says 1/3 and grey says 1/3 but black still shows empty.
Now does JUST the toilet go into the black or does the bath sink too ?
Iโ€™m gonna dump tomorrow when we leave but just want to be sure the sensors are working
I assume because the fresh water sensors are mounted outside the tank that all of them are ??
Thx again for helping a new guy with so many questions

Ha cute,,,
Keeping the sensors clean shouldnโ€™t be an issue, they are mounted outside the tanks

Don't get too excited out the tank sensors not working. It's a common problem with RV's, they often don't work or are not accurate.
Try the Geo Method for your holding tanks or just use liquid dish detergent and Calgon (or any water softener) to try to keep the sensors clean.
After a few camping trips you will be able to judge when the tanks are about full and need dumped.
