Winter Camping

Just a quick question to see how many people out there camp out in the cold/and or snow?

My husband says he will NEVER do this. I just want him to hear that it can be fun to do. Thanks in advance.

I have, by accident. Got down to 20, no electric, no propane heater, just good sleeping bags. We were in a PUP

Back in the 'good old days' I use to backpack. I preferred a wee bit of a nip

My favorite time. The campgrounds are empty - often we are the only ones there.

We do. Winter camping can be fantastic! My only complaint - cleaning the rig after towing on snowy roads.

It can be fun to do IF he is doing something he enjoys. If he does not enjoy the activities then it can be horrid.

Maybe you should choose between a leaving him home or no winter camping.

We camped for a week at a hospital (not for fun) in Oklahoma in 17 degree temps with 2" of ice and 3" of snow on top. Just filled up the water tank, disconnected the water hose and we were fine in our Class A with 2 slides. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again for fun next time.
