Haven't done of one these in awhile and since the makers have started planning their 2016 models, here's an opportunity.

What would you like to see included as options/standards in the 2016 RV model lines?
Here are the categories:

Chassis/Engine/Mechanical

Plumbing/Electrical

Safety

Storage

Floorplans

What would you like to see included as options/standards in the 2016 RV model lines?
Here are the categories:

Exterior/Chassis/Engine/Mechanical
-Better gas mileage (probably on everyone's wish list)
-More models with a fiberglass cap instead of rubber roofs: more leak proofing (see next comment)
-Mount the AC/heat unit on the rear wall or front wall instead of the roof to eliminate vulnerable spots that leak. Ducting can be used to distribute the air (see comment below)
-Eliminate all roof intrusions to keep leakage at bay (skylights, etc.)

Plumbing/Electrical
-AC and heat ducting with adjustable vents running the length of the coach where the outer wall meets the ceiling (to accommodate taller RVers who need the full ceiling height
-Plumbing vents and bathroom vent routed to side walls instead of more holes in the roof.
-Water heaters capable of delivering a 15 minute shower or more (hot water on demand heaters as standard)
-LED lighting standard

Safety
-Standard rear cameras that function in driving mode in addition to backup - to eliminate blind spots and facilitate lane changes, backing up, etc.

Storage
-Closets should cue from IKEA and other makers and be modular so that the customer can configure them to their own needs and function.
-Put the closet in the slide-out instead of the bed. It's less cold air on the head in bed.

Floorplans
-Interiors that are more modular to accommodate different activities. Removable dining tables are one example that's on the right track.
-Slightly larger toilet rooms
-Twin sofa-beds that can elevate/adjust. Great for older bodies.
-Sofas that sit opposite each other and a removable table in between.
