Dang Kid ...

So, we got to the bird's feeding spot a bit late. Peaked over the guard rail, and saw about a dozen doves, may be six, or eight quail hanging around waiting.

Once I approach the spot, all the birds scatter, cept for three quails standing on the other side of the fence.

As I get the bag of seed and bread out. I overhear one of the quail, tell the other two. Wonder why Calvin's slave is late. One of'um replies, idiot, there ain't no slave round these parts, he's Calvin's servant.

The last of the three, looks at the two, shakes his head. You're both wrong. I've seen him put Calvin's shoes, and coat on him. He's, his butler.

I turn, look at the Kid, and he's got that dang grin on his face.

In regards to the Kid's coat. The one I bought, was too small (and seems a bit too light weight. He already has two, at that weight. One is a cool Filson Waxed, canvas style coat, but the two just don't fit him, or it wears funny), so I'm gonna call the place to see if I can get a refund. Because I found another / different style winter coat, same one that this place sells, but at $35.00 bucks cheaper.

However, in the mean time, I found a cool looking quilted coat at Kurgo, and bough that for him. So, the Dang Kid, may end up with two new coats. ... :S

After which, I looked down and start to wondering. How come I gotta wear socks with holes in'um?!

Here I opened this thread and thought I was going to learn something new. Geesh we already knew Pops is Calvin's Butler and Servant all rolled into one. :S
