We have come a LONG way in how we treat our Military dogs after a war has ended. Took them a long time but I will be happy with were we are now on how we treat them.

Did anyone know that we have a traveling Military Working War Dogs Memorial of bronze statutes? I am very proud that we do. It's about darn time they started recognizing the importance of our Military Dogs during war times.

Thank you for posting a remembrance for our "forgotten hero's".
They truly deserve more acknowledgement then they get for their role in our military history.

The traveling memorial to be placed at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX is the latest tribute to these hero's but certainly not the only one.

Wow, not I feel bad, because I wasn't thinking of our 4-legged Vets out there. I have had (though I don't know if I could find it now) a book about the Dogs of War, with lots of pictures of the dogs that were used during WW-II & Korean War (oh, "conflict":?). It was very interesting, and I know that they had an even greater impact on Viet Nam and the Middle East.

I'm very glad to hear that the Military is finally getting their act together, and bring this brave dogs home....what a shame to just abandon them, when they have done so much for so many.
