Stink bugs!!!

Not our idea of the ideal pet, but they sure seem to like us and our camper! Ever since the Old Fella rally in Sevierville, we've been escorting them out of our truck and camper!😛

LOL. . . well we are in a place where we have NO phone service and our MIFI doesn't work, so I am at the mercy of the camp's wifi, which is sketchy at best. I got an error on the first transmission, so assumed it didn't go through.

That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Oh, but they do bite. I didn't know that, but discovered it from reading up on it. Course, they don't get a chance and I think they have to be cornered before they will.

We currently leave or RV stored in Myrtle Beach in the Fall as here at home we have them by the thousands. Got 3 cups out of the camper the first Fall it was here at home. The only good to them is they do not bite.

We host a sheepdog trial on our farm the 3rd weekend in September which frequently is the first time we see swarms of stinkbugs in our area. Enough bugs that they are bouncing off you body and covering sun warmed walls of buildings. My wife and I have joked about renaming or event to the "stinkbug classic".

We have fought them off/on (more on) for several years since we first picked them up in Virginia while visiting our daughter. We are back in VA as we speak and they are here. Yuck. I've tried the traps, but never had any success with them. We get them with a tissue, give them a squish, then it's down the toilet. Figure if they stink there no one will know. :E

I know people who smack them on the side of their coach with a fly swatter. Not me. Don't know what those guts would do to the paint.

I think I read somewhere that they have invaded 41 states now . . . I wanna know what the other 9 are so I can move there.

I've got a vacuum cleaner we keep with the crevice tool on the wand pretty much permanently in the sticks 'n' bricks, and dump out about a half gallon of them every few months year 'round. It and they suck.

Only other method I know of to get rid of them is to live amongst a flock of chickens, which, I hear, love to eat them. Of course, that does create other issues.
