tying up dogs

newbie question:

When sitting outside, how/where do you tie up the dog's lead?
The Dachshund won't be much of a problem, but the lab mix is a puller.....

Thanks

I totally agree. With all due respect, you need to train your dog to NOT pull on the leash regardless if it is tied up or you holding it. I don't understand dog owners who allow their dogs to behave in a manner that is not acceptable by all. Dogs are very smart and are easily trained...it just takes an owner who has and will take the time to train them.

We tie up our dogs under the motorhome next to the step with an 3/8 inch eye bolt. Each dog is connected to two leaches so they have room to roam in the patio. It's a must to keep dogs on a harness in case they take off running, prevents accidents.

Usually around our chair or the picnic table. At night when we around the campfire they rather be inside sleeping in our bed.

Our little girl is hooked to the chair, but normally ends up on our laps.

We use a steel cable attached to the trailer. It's frightening to anyone passing by your campsite it your large dog lunges at them, tied or not. You should train your dog not to do that.

We use either the picnic table or one of the corkscrew stakes linked to above for our larger dog. Our smaller dog gets hooked to the RV steps.

Those pens are nice except my present blue heeler & last dog a border collie jump into the pickup bed when I get in to go someplace. I would need a pen over 6 ft high.

Depending on the situation, I usually use either the rear jack assembly or around one of the wheel spokes. Obviously, you have to be careful you don't forget to detach the cable(s) before you pull out. One time, I almost pulled out without detaching a cable from one of my wheel spokes!:E

No, I have never forgotten to detach the dog(s) before pulling out!
