Wonder where a few of the core member's gravitated to?

Been noticing recently that the Pet Stop's been somewhat quiet. Don't see a few of (IMHO, what I consider) the core members who posted here, haven't done so in a while, e.g. Susan, Cat, etc..

Very, extremely cool, Deb! In which part of Florida is the condo? What are you going to drive back down there? Do you think you may retire there someday? It's so great that it's a dog friendly place. I hope you have room for all the friends and relatives that will want to visit!

So here's what we've been up to:

Decided to try a month of Snowbirding in the 5th wheel. Wandered around Florida, realizing that sometimes nice RV parks are still shy on good wifi and /or cable service. Not all are dog-friendly. Not all are big RV-friendly. Quaint towns are definitely NOT monster-truck friendly. Finally got fed up and bought a condo in a super-dog-friendly complex. Now are heading home to Michigan, so we can load up and bring stuff BACK to Florida (smack forehead).

Saw a lot of sunshine (rare in Michigan this time of year) and the dogs seemed to love it all. Haven't had much time to be chatty - but have kept all of you folks in our good thoughts!
Well now, all THAT sounds pretty interesting!:C

Re: Blue Buffalo

They also continue to advertise "Gluten Free" and "No Corn" as if it made a difference. In 37 years of practicing veterinary medicine I have never seen or heard of in the literature a gluten intolerant dog - they may be out there but talk about FAD. We've tried to address the misconceptions about corn - but that seems to be a never ending project.

Now if you can address these issues, you can officially be added to the core membership.

Another one is why people choose chicken over chicken meal as the first ingredient in kibble. Why select a kibble where the first ingredient is 70% water which will be cooked out?

Yea but it's my story and I'm sticking to it. Unless the weather warms up to 80 degrees and I get a free week of vacation to go camping...in that case I abandon everything and hit the road...with my dog of course.

Hey Pops, how's Calvin doing? Is he keeping you inline? :B

Doug

He's doing OK, thanks Doug! Still wondering when we'll be living on dirt again. He misses his play ground.

We're having his blood work done at the end of the month.

Pops

That's good to hear Lance, hey the dirt play ground is easy to correct. Just go to home depot and buy it by the bag and spread it around in one room of the motor home. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks fur the tip Doug. We won't be buying dirt for Home Depot, BUT, if I see Calvin trying to sneak dirt in, in his pockets. Well, I'll know where he got THAT idea from! ....

Pops ... :B

Who me??? I would never try and give Calvin any ideas.....:W
By the way Calvin I have an extra bag of dirt left over from planting a few flowers last year, just send me your address and I will have it delivered. :B

I am unable to get any quality dog food here...there is a shop that sells Royal Canin but Izzy did not do well on it when we tried it before...so I am back to making all their food...just waiting for my jar of vitamin/nutritional supplement powder Wayne sent from Canada...I still have a small amount of Wellness left that I brought with us and I am adding it too their homemade diet until I get the supplement powder...luckily I knew what was needed from making Bellas food ...and its not like I have anything else to do down here LOL

Kathleen, does that shop only carry one variety of Royal Canin? Would Wayne be able to bring a couple 3# bags of something back with him when the house sells? Crossing fingers that will be soon.

they just carry the specific breed type...Wayne will bring a couple of bags of Wellness when he comes...but the wees love the homemade diet and I really dont mind making it for them, and with the supplement powder I am sure they will have their nutritional needs met..
