500 gallon propane tank

We are living in our jayco 232 rv till our house is raised due to being flooded out last year. I have a full 500 gallon propane tank that’s 40 feet from out rv. It has the primary regulator at the tank and I have the secondary house side regulator removed. Can I attach a gas line and run it from the tank regulator to the camper and hook up the secondary regulator to the rv?

The regulator you have will work fine. All propane appliances use 11" pressure.

I own the tank. The house regulator doesn’t seem to have any pressure ratings that I can see. Gonna order the 0.54/11 inches water columes.

Good point plus any safety considerations.

SIL was given a complete homme generator plus 2 large tanks. The 2 tanks were placed next to the house tank. We dug a ditch to the gen and the propane company installed the hookup at no cost. He can use any tank. That's a permanent setup unlike a RV.

Yes, we have done that when hosting at forestry parks.

I installed a high pressure tap on the motorhome for the BBQ because it's more versital and less prone to low pressure regulation for the BBQs.

The tap is shown below, note the top vertical connector which would allow a external high pressure tank to be connected if desired. You could also do something similar.
