Need some help from the AC experts. I need to know if this unit has a compressor start capacitor. Looking at the diagram on the cover it looks optional but there is a small capacitor in the compartment that could be for the fan start? It is wired through the run capacitor and has a what looks like a PTCR wired in line. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Chino

I should have mentioned, "some" of the Mach 8 compressors have a built in capacitor. NOT a replaceable part. Doug

The small cap with the PTCR is the start cap. The fan run cap would not be tied to the compressor run cap, the start cap would.

ALL AC units have a Comp Start Capacitor. Even the Mach 8. Now, RVP offers an optional HARD START capacitor for certain OEM's, usually Towable Makers. Doug
Page 8 of this link will show the Start and run capacitors for the compressor. Remember, this unit has 2 fan motors instead of 1. So it has 2 Motor capacitors.
